WriterBoard is used for planning out the story of any kind and up to any lengths without the worrying of literature so that before you sit and write it in detail, you have a concrete and clear Birds Eye view of everything that’s going to happen.
Writerboard is a complete package in itself and has all the features you need for writing and reviewing any kind of story. In the future we will introduce new features to track character movements better, non-linear editor, drawing and storyboarding tools, etc.
Branching and hierarchy are the major advantages of using this tool. Traditional script doesn't quite capture the parallel nature of stories so you can branch part of your story off and let them merge back in the most spectacular way. And if you are still just feeling the story and not have it in detail yet, you can start with major events and use hierarchy to detail out your story literally inside the major events or scenes.
It is for when you do not have to worry about the structure of the story but the story itself and you want to actually write the story in a more linear, script fashion. It is always in sync with the plot view so it is actually all one story, different ways of writing it.
Writerboard is different because it gives you an insanely simple but powerful canvas and doesn't tell you how you write your stories. We do not force you to divide your stories into different chapters, we do not label any part of your story as drafts. You decide what a chapter or episode is, or is it an entire story for a book series? Only you know that.
